7 ways you can make your resume stand out

1. Use ATS Compliant template: ATS stands for application tracking system. Most people don’t think about it, but where does your resume go when you submit it? Most of the time, it goes directly into an ATS database.

2. Customize: You may have worked on so many different things, its time to highlight your best-fit skills to the job you are applying for

3. Focus on what matters: Recruiters would spend less than 5 sec to read your resume, so let the significant achievements stand out; some random stuff you did ten years back might not be required to mention in detail

4. Short and concise: Large paragraphs are difficult to read; keep the description short and straightforward; you can always dive deep during an interview

5. Talk about impact: It might not be easy to measure every little thing, but think about how you contributed to improving the system.

6. Mean it: Don’t inflate your resume with fancy words you cannot explain.
On the other hand, be bold in adding relevant skills obtained beyond the job scope.

7. Proofread and review: Spelling mistakes, missing links, grammatical errors are not uncommon, proofread and ask someone to check before you apply for the unique job
